i disagree. this to me is about managing your identity as it relates to services you use. in my (outside) opinion foldier is about creating a space to manage the bits and pieces of data you want to store and reference later.

  2. foldier Says:

No – this is about who own the data: you or the service hosting it.

  3. Mauro E Says:

as Joe says (foldier is about creating a space to manage the bits and pieces of data you want to store and reference later) foldier gives the impression only of storaging ang managing data (and sharing and so on).
It’s difficult to understand in what way you can use data portability services through foldier. It is no user friendly.
I think there is need of an simply demo to demonstrate what foldier can da and the way to do it. i think…

Mauro, Data Portability is about reaching and using data stored in different systems (services on the web) from any application or service you use.
You own your data (contacts, pictures, documents etc) and you should be able to use it the way you want.
Foldier is about connecting different services to organize data items regardless of where they are stored – it only uses references to these data allowing the user to mix and match items coming from different systems.

Foldier will allow to move data from one system to another and to access services on data stored anywhere.

This is why foldier is about “Data Portability”

We just have the system up and running and we are working now to make it easy to use and more powerful. This is just the beginning and we need the feedback of people like you to make it better!

    Thank you!
    Michele
